Back when I was purchasing my MAC products and my Sigma Brushes, I found out about a company called Coastal Scents…you can find their products mainly on their website www.coastalscents.com. So they are a company that offers highly pigmented eyeshadows/blushes in palettes at very good prices. So they aren’t on the top of my list like NYX Cosmetics, just due to their selection…but if you’re the kinda gal who likes a ton, and I do mean a ton, of different shadows..then this company is for you. I like shadows, but I don’t like having wayyy too many to choose from, and some of their palettes are like that. So anyway, what I have from Coastal Scents is the 28 pc Neutral eyeshadow palette pictured below
It cost $18.95 and I definitely have gotten my money’s worth. Now I’m not an eyeshadow everyday kinda girl…but I don’t buy neutral colors in singles or duos very often, so figured this would cover me as far as neutral colors go. And it does. I have about 3-5 shadows that I always go for. If you look up reviews on youtube, you’ll see a lot of people calling it the “wedding palette” bc it’s perfect for creating a classic look with neutral colors. So I’m so pleased with not only the product, but the very fast shipping that I received when I ordered it a few months ago.
And last but not least, is the Contour and Blush Palette for $18.95 <> This I’ve been wanting since I purchased the neutral palette. I debated on purchasing at the time, but decided to wait. I like this because I’m not a blush person (at least I wasn’t at the time), and didn’t feel like it made sense for me to buy an entire blush palette. But I know that contouring and highlighting can make a huge difference in your face, so I wanted to try this out. From all of the reviews I’ve watched and read, these colors come off really well on ALL skintones!!! The 2 colors on the right are the blushes, the darker color is for contour and the other shades you can use for highlighting. I’m coming around on the blushes…I have at least 6 on my wishlist from NYX Cosmetics! So I can’t wait to have all of these in my collection!
That’s pretty much it for me and Coastal Scents. I don’t really have a need for any of their other eyeshadow palettes… they do offer loose pigments if you’re into those, and a ton more brushes too…they also offer African soaps and shea butter in it’s natural form if you’re interested in that. Now if I could only find a site that offers really amazing quality body products for cheap I’d be set! I got good sites for makeup and hair, and my next mission is for good skincare…like good oils, soaps, lotions, and candles.
