I’m gonna be honest…my progress with ChaLean Extreme isn’t what I thought it would be. Not due to the program, but due to me. If you’ve been following my progress you know that I got a little off track going into Week 4 of the Burn Phase. It has been a struggle to get back on track since then. I am pretty bummed about it. So I have already started the Push Phase. I really like it. It’s Thursday and I haven’t worked out this week 🙁 But I did do some last week. And I loved it. The Push Phase is different than the Burn Phase in that you are doing fewer reps at a heavier weight. I unfortunately still do not have any heavier weights, but I’m still working it out! So let’s talk about progress.
My DH really wants me to lose some weight before his birthday. Now I know you ladies are booing and hissing over there! lol Trust me I was and still am too. But when I really think about it, there’s nothing wrong with him wanting me to look better. To be what I have been before, ya know? So it got me to thinking about my progress and how far I have come. I hope that you know that there are sooo many better and more uplifting ways to measure your progress other than stepping on the scale!!! The scale should be one of the last things you do! So I am pleased to say that I have made progress in a number of areas!
· I can go heavy. I am stronger than I thought and am able to lift more than I would do with any of my previous workouts.
· Clothes are fitting better. This is I think the most important, is when your clothes are starting to get lose or clothes that wouldn’t fit before are now fitting! That is the case with two pairs of my jeans! And a pair of my work pants that I wore very tight a few weeks ago now fits perfectly!
· Pushups!!!! The dreaded pushups, well I hate pushups but I love them for how effective they are! I could realistically do 12-18 reps of female pushups with good form, and that means going all the way down to the floor, abs in hips down, etc. I’ll be honest with you, of all of the exercises I do especially with ChaLean Extreme, I don’t quit on anything except the pushups! I try to go as far as I can but doing them superslow is superhard! lol The progress comes in because I am proud to say that I can now do 6, count them 6 full pushups!!! They’re hard as hell but that is amazing to me!!! Because I couldn’t even eek out 1 full pushup before!!!
I guess for now that’s all I can think of. I know I’ve said it before but dammit I gotta get my butt in gear!!! Lately I just can’t seem to get enough sleep, so that is a constant struggle. One very awesome thing that will kick my butt in gear is that I will be going to Turbo Kick on Saturday mornings. A friend of mine is a certified Turbo Kick instructor and is now offering classes on Saturdays. Due to work I’m not able to go to any of her during the week classes, so I told the hubby, you’re watching the kids so get over it! After a few weeks of this I may try to take Zumba and then TurboKick back to back! For now I’ll stick with what I know, which is my ♥ Turbo Kick!!!
