Ok so I’m no chef, but I did post recently about my desires as of late to be more into cooking and preparing family meals. Because of that, I’ve found myself snapping away with my Iphone as I’m preparing some of my meals. Why not share them especially when they turn out to be a hit!
I figured I’d start off with my delicious sliders 🙂
What you will need:
1 lb of ground beef (80% is best for grilling)
1 package of McCormick All-American Burger seasoning
Sliders buns
You don’t have to get super fancy when it comes to burgers. The best rule of thumb is the simpler the better. You can use whatever seasoning you like or you can use just salt and pepper. I had this on hand and never tried it so I figured I would and I love this seasoning!!
I looked in two of the three grocery stores I went to this morning for slider buns and only Food Lion had only this brand in either white or wheat and they were $2.99 which was high but I knew I was making these sliders today so I bit the bullet, but I will be on the lookout for another option.
In a mixing bowl combine your ground beef with the seasoning packet. Mix with your hand well but don’t over mix. Form into small round patties. I let it rest for the time it takes for the grill to be ready. The seasonings get to know each other better while they’re waiting to be cooked.
After your grill is ready, get those burgers on there! I cooked approximately 5-7 minutes per side. I wasn’t really counting. But keep the cover closed and let the grill do it’s thang.
The hotdogs were for Miss Picky since she doesn’t like burgers, but she did eat a slider and she liked it 🙂
With only a few minutes left, add small cheese slices. I used American but you can use whatever you have on hand. (as you can see I ran out! lol)
The finished product!!
I made these Ore-Ida Grillers fries that I had a coupon for. Had I read the package in the store I would have seen that they’re for gas grills only otherwise you’re baking them. No biggie.
After the fries were done I stuck a few of the buns in the turned off oven and let them get a little toasted. Perfect touch!
On my sliders I had ketchup, spicy brown mustard, and relish. Next time I may add some bacon, small tomato slices, and lettuce 🙂
What do you think?
An extra tidbit: Check out my facebook page where I often post quick pics of items I get on a good sale, like the Kingsford charcoal I got on sale at Food Lion today 🙂
