I ventured back out to Harris Teeter today for Super Doubles.
It’s cold here in North Carolina. I know it’s snowing in most of the country but it’s a cold blustery day and I just wasn’t up for going to the store. Yet it had to be done. If you know me, you know I’m a first thing in the morning shopper; not because I’m a morning person but because I’m not a people person. I can’t stand for a lot of people to be in my way as they often are during the day when there’s a couponing event.
I had planned to prepare a quick list prior to lunch at work but this was one doozy of a day so I felt rushed when making my actual list. I had already started a matchup list for myself but hadn’t quite finished it. But I ventured out anyway…
Here’s what I got:
Tide 100oz sale price $10.97 coupon $1.50 x 2 evic coupon $1.50 = $6.47 which is a great price since this is the bigger Tide. It’ll last a few months J
Febreeze fabric spray sale price $3.99 coupon $1 x 2 evic coupon $1 = 99cents
Deer Park 24 pack water was on sale for $2.77
Mt Dew was on Buy 2 get 3 free and when that happens I always stock up since my DH drinks it like water and for me it is the devil. Out of pocket I pay $13.78 which brings it to $2.76 each and anytime a 12 pack of soda is $3.00 or less it’s a stock up price for me.
Farm Rich mozzarella bites on sale for $5.00 coupon $1 x 2 = $3.00
Barilla Italian Entrée $2.99 coupon $1 x 2 = 99 cents
Stouffer’s Satisfying Skillet meal on sale for $7.39 coupon $2 x 2 = $3.39
Vick’s Dayquil on sale for $5.99 coupon $1 x 2 evic coupon $1 = $2.99 which was perfect bc DH needs some medsJ
My savings:
Amount Saved / Full Price = % saved $55.30 / $92.15 = 60% savings
Amount Saved + Amount paid = Full price $55.30 + $36.85 = $92.15
When I go back I’ll take a pic but because I did this on my lunch and came home at night there’s no picture. Majority of the sodas are sitting in my car frozen I’m sure. I would have liked a larger savings but 60% is still great. My goal is to always save over half.
