Friends! I’m excited to share the first house from this year’s Parade of Homes Series. I’m calling today’s home the Madison Park House. It’s located in my favorite neighborhood and it’s the first house I went to see. This home has five bedrooms and 4 bathrooms and is 3750 square feet.
Come let me take you on the tour of this lovely home. I may have gone overboard with the pictures 😉
This house just speaks to me. It’s pretty traditional in style and I love the colors of the brick and the shingles and the shutters.
This house is right around the corner from some of the previous homes I’ve shared in the Parade of Homes Series, like the Nottingham House (still on the market btw and was even listed in this years tour), the Vassar House, the Elks House and the Coppertone House (which sold after last years Parade of Homes tour and was listed on the market a couple of months ago). It was built on one of the remaining few lots available.
I love the front porch.
This is actually tile that is giving this weathered, distressed wood look.
I am obsessed with this beaded wood portico. Such a striking detail. I didn’t even notice it until we were leaving the house and I had to snap a picture.
Love this light fixture. I always seem to notice lighting first when I come into a house.
When you come into the home the first room you see is the dining room. The paint color throughout the home is gorgeous. I wish I knew the color to tell you. It’s a blueish gray and it’s very soothing.
I love all of the millwork and trimwork in this house. Look at that ceiling detail. Simply gorgeous!
You can see a glimpse of the kitchen from the dining room.
I was only able to get a few pictures of the kitchen and I wasn’t happy about that. When I first came into the home the realtor was standing in the kitchen. That actually happened in a lot of the homes I viewed this year and I hated that because if there’s anything I want to get a picture of, it’s the kitchen.
I love these mixing and measuring bowls and the honey comb. If I see something similar online I’ll link them here.
I do prefer to have a full range unit and not a cook top but I love the drawers on both sides of the cook top for pots and pans storage.
This built-in pantry is something I really like. It’s convenient and can contain many of the foods and goods that you use frequently. I love this style of cabinetry. It’s so sleek and clean. That’s how I feel about all of the millwork throughout this house.

These next two picutres I found on Zillow since I didn’t get great pictures of the kitchen. I don’t want to link to them since this will be someone’s home someday and they probably don’t want all of that detail out there ya know? I really wanted to get a shot from this angle to show the other side of the fridge. The area to the far right is designed to be a coffee bar station. You can also see the island is painted a blue-gray color.

This is why I love this pantry. The pull out shelves are a must-have!
Just a few steps away from the kitchen is a mudroom space and a full walk-in pantry. As a realtor in another house I looked at said, it’s the Sam’s Club or Costco pantry. The built-in pantry in the kitchen is for your day to day goods and this one is for the bulk items. I love this idea.
I also like that it’s right off the garage so it’s easy access when bringing in the groceries. Actually the whole area is really convenient. I hate when kitchen placement is an afterthought. It needs to be easily accessible from the garage because that’s where you’re coming into your house day to day with grocery bags.
I’m standing in the laundry room across from the mudroom bench. I am obsessed with this door style and I’m not ashamed to admit this isn’t the only picture I’ve taken of the door.
Across from the kitchen is the living room. Other than the bonus room this is the family living space. At this price point, I’d expect a second family room but this is a good space and it’s cohesive with the rest of the main floor.
Also located on the main floor is the master bedroom, which in itself is nothing special. But what is special is this design feature in the master shower.
I like the dual shower heads and the privacy window that let’s in light but is high enough to not be intrusive.
A lot of the finishes in this bathroom are darker than my preference. But this vanity is really nice. I love the cabinetry and the hardware. The sinks are nice and deep. My daughter really liked the faucet.
Just look at all of that storage!
I’m not a standalone bathtub kind of girl but I really enjoy the high back of this tub. I like the clean look of all of the window and door casings throughout this home. Totally my style.
And then there’s the master closet…
These pictures are from me walking into the closet and looking to my left and going all the way around from there.
Imagine a couple of Louis Vuitton and Channel bags right there. Or sweaters. Whatever works for you 😉
Let me just say it’s always refreshing when walking into a newly built house and seeing a completely put together closet. There’s nothing worse than a house at this price point (a little over half a million bucks) and the master closet has those wire racks. This is a well thought out closet and I appreciate it.
Here’s one of the upstairs bathrooms for the kids.
I like these handles for the faucet and the hardware.
One of the other guest bathrooms upstairs. I love this vanity style and the counters and sink. I feel like this is a current design trend because I’ve seen similar sinks in several of the homes this year. The faucet is cool too.
Told ya I was obsessed with the doors 🙂
And yet another upstairs guest bathroom. This one with a feature I like a lot…
This built-in linen closet.
It’s small but mighty.
This feature is in one of the other guest bathrooms, I don’t remember which one. But it’s a built-in medicine cabinet.
I also wanted to share a couple of shots I got of the bedroom closets.
I love every single closet in this house. They really paid attention to detail. This is the first house I’ve seen from this particular builder and I must say that their closet game sets them apart from the rest of the builders around here. I don’t know if they have teenagers or what but the closets are well thought out. Or maybe the designer is a woman, yeah that’s probably what it is. If you live in my area and want to know the builder’s information shoot me an email and I’m happy to provide that for you.
I’m rounding up this lengthy post with the bonus room. This carpet is so nice and plush. The paint color seems to be the same color throughout the house just enhanced/darkened a bit. Almost as if this room was designed to be more of a theater room or movie room.
This closet is in the bonus room and I love it. I look at it and I see holiday storage for the house. I see board games and video games and just a great extra storage closet.
This house has great closets throughout the floor plan. It really stands out to me because it seems that many builders don’t think about closets. I’m not a minimalist by any stretch of the imagination so closet space is a priority for me.
If you couldn’t already tell I really really like the Madison Park house. Of course there are things I’d change because I didn’t design it but I do like it. Tell me what you think in the comments below! Until next time friends! I appreciate you for spending some of your day with me today 🙂
This house looks so beautiful! I love the fixtures and the wall tiles, especially in the bathroom. They all look so gorgeous to me 🙂
It is very nice, it is my dream house!
Hi, Aria!!!! Your house looks gorgeous.
Hi!! it’s not mine, I wish!!! 🙂
This home is really gorgeous! And I love home tours. And I want this home.
I want this house! It’s gorgeous and there’s so much to love. From the kitchen to the tub, shower and that massive closet!!!
that closet is EVERYTHING!! 🙂 thanks Camesha!
I just recently learnt about home parades and I love the idea~
we’ve had them in our town for years and I love them because I love to look at houses without having to be pressured by a realtor. They know majority of the people looking during a Parade of Homes are not in the market which is great.
This is such a great house, with a great design, love the marble touch on it 🙂

I agree Lily I love the design!!
that home is gorgeous. I love the mix of rustic and modern items and the color scheme.
thanks for stopping by Breyona! I agree with you 🙂
Ooooh I love home tours. I always get such good decorating ideas lol!
me too Ruthy!! Even when I have my dream house I’ll still love home tours!!
The home looks great! I love the white subway tile in the kitchen. I love a white kitchen. I have pull out drawers in my pantry too. I love them. I love the bathroom, especially the bathroom counter.
I think pull out shelves are the best invention! I want them in every cabinet!! And I love the trend of drawers near the stove for pots and pans! Thanks for stopping by Julie 🙂
This house is gorgeous!! I love all the details from the ceilings to the tile in the shower. All that space and the front porch. I am in love.
yes Bridgid!!! My thoughts exactly!! 🙂
I like looking at houses.
I loved the first shower and the bathtub. I would love to have a stand alone footed bathtub one day but our current bathroom would have to be completely redone to handle that.
I like the kitchen — it’s on the agenda to redo our kitchen in the net year or two.
This was a fun post.
thanks Dominique!!! We currently are in an old duplex. It’s my dream to have a custom built home!!
THE DETAILS IN THIS HOME! 😍😍 especially, that wooden beaded portico! Ps: you did not go overboard with the photos because they were all so great!
thanks Tiffanie!!! I love that detail of the portico it is such a cool feature 🙂
There is obviously a reason why this is a Parade of Homes home, but oh man, it is stunning. I love the wood tile (we have that in our mudroom).
Also the planked wall by the mudroom space caught my eye. I might have to copy it for ours! Thanks for giving us a peek into this beautiful home!
thanks Eevi-Sofia! thanks for stopping by I’m glad you liked it as much as I do 🙂
