Lots of decorating and organizing and cleaning going on around here! So much to do, feels like so little time. How is your week going so far? If I wait until I have spaces completed, I’ll be waiting a long time to share with you. Instead I’d rather share a lot of short decorating updates. Does that sound okay? I hope so! So let’s talk about my powder bathroom floating shelves. I’m loving them!
I knew that I wanted to get floating shelves for our powder bathroom and our water closet in our master bedroom.

The look I was going for with my floating shelves was kind of rustic-industrial. If that’s even a thing! I fell in love with the Devyn 3 Piece Simple Bracket Shelf on Wayfair. It has a 4.6 rating and really good reviews.
These are real pieces of wood. And they’re really rustic. If you are handy or have someone you know who could build these for you that would probably be a more cost-effective route.
Neither myself nor my husband are handy so we had to go the store bought route. I personally love how rustic the shelves are. And I love the brackets.
We also got floating shelves for our master bathroom and installed those first. In relation to those shelves, these were a breeze to install.
When it comes to putting furniture together, I’m happy to do it. But when you introduce power tools of any kind I have to have DH help me out. The drill intimidates me and I’m not ashamed to say it!
One thing we appreciated with these floating shelves, is that it came with wall anchors. Which is expected right? But you’d be surprised what isn’t always included.
From my research on installing floating shelves, these type of wall anchors are the best and when I saw that they were included, I knew this would be an easier installation for us.
Now spacing wise, I wish we had done that a bit better but it works and the shelves fill up the space well.
I love how much space there is in this bathroom! I didn’t want to add extra storage pieces that would take up room. Floating shelves are a great way to add storage and decor and at the same time bring the eyes up and make a space appear even larger.
I’m still working on the rest of the bathroom but for now I wanted to go ahead and share how these floating shelves turned out. And I’m still styling them too. I’m loving what I have so far.
This woven chevron canister is something I’ve had my eye on for awhile. I liked it but didn’t see a need for it. On my last Target run I said what the heck and I picked it up. This is the small option and as you can see it’s not that small. Keep that in mind if you’re buying it online because it does come in larger sizes.
If you’re looking in store it’s in the bathroom accessories aisle. I’ve also been looking at this woven wastebasket too but want to see if I can find something similar at TJ Maxx or Home Goods. Honestly I’m just looking for a reason to go to TJ Maxx or Home Goods 🙂

The black home sweet home sign is from Hobby Lobby and so is the grateful and thankful sign is also from Hobby Lobby but I can’t find it online.
I’ll come back and share the completed powder bathroom. Hopefully I can get a lot done this weekend. Do you have any weekend plans? My daughter and I are going to watch Hamilton and I’m really looking forward to it. I sure hope it lives up to the hype!
Aside from that, still working on organizing the kitchen layout. It’s been so hard for me! Still working on organizing and decorating and I’ll be sharing it all here on the blog soon! Until next time, be safe! ♥
