This is the first time I’ve heard of the term “English Arts and Crafts” as an architecture style. It’s how it was described in the Parade of Homes guide.
It features five bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms. It’s a good size at 4080 square feet. Located in Raleigh, North Carolina in a prime location, it was listed at $1,499,900.
I love the cedar shaker siding.
Typically I don’t take a lot of up close exterior pictures, but this home has an absolutely stunning exterior.
It’s the small touches that add up to beautiful design!
Isn’t that the cutest door! Immediately as you step into the English arts and crafts home you’re enveloped in a light and airy space that you’ll experience throughout the home. I love the color of the flooring too.
HOME OFFICE
Just take in all of these windows! I love it! For practical reasons I would sit on the opposite side of the desk. But who can complain about any work when this is your home office?!
The foyer provides a great space for a good size console table.
POWDER ROOM
One of the spaces I like the idea of wallpaper is a powder room. It adds so much personality and character. I love the high ceilings.
PRIMARY BEDROOM
As with the rest of the home, the primary bedroom is open and airy and I love how spacious it feels.
vanity mirror (also here)
The owners bathroom is a dream. I don’t typically love the gold hardware trend but it really works in this space. You truly feel like you’re walking into your own personal spa in here.
I also don’t tend to love sinks on top of the vanity but this looks really nice. As long as it’s not a big vessel I think it works.
The owner’s closet is a dream! So much storage and it’s light and bright like the rest of the home.
GREAT ROOM
The great room features a fireplace flanked with floating shelves with under shelf lighting as well as storage cabinets below.
I love how open and airy the great room feels.
As with many of the homes in this price point we have indoor and outdoor living thanks to phantom screen doors leading to the screened porch. If you look in the top right of this photo you can see something I’ll definitely be adding into my dream home…infratech heaters! It really makes it to where you can enjoy the screen porch all year long!
DINING ROOM
The dining room is off of the kitchen. There isn’t a formal dining room in this home. I know many families prefer to just have the one dining space.
KITCHEN
The kitchen is a showstopper featuring a gorgeous La Cornue range and Sub Zero appliances.
The kitchen is full of storage with cabinets that go up to the ceiling. Lots of cabinet doors and drawers which is a great option.
The pantry is a good size and features a built in can organizer.
MUDROOM
The mudroom has bonus built in storage. Touches like these I appreciate because most mudrooms are pretty tight spaces. Make every square inch count!
GUEST SUITE
The guest room is located on the main floor and although it’s not staged I had to take a picture. I love the flooring throughout the home and look at this light fixture! It’s gorgeous!
I only took pictures of the first floor. The second floor wasn’t staged and the bathrooms were nice, but I didn’t capture them. Upstairs there are three very spacious bedrooms. One bedroom has it’s own bathroom and the other two share a Jack and Jill bathroom. There’s also a game room with vaulted ceiling and beams as well as an additional room that can be used as a tech space, craft room, exercise room…you get the drift.
What I love about this home is the attention to detail. Raleigh Custom Homes is known for that. I love the windows! I’d love to know your thoughts on this English arts and crafts home?
For me, it’s one of those homes that intrigue me from their exterior. Inside was beautiful but nothing too over the top or unexpected. Like I said, I know what to expect from Raleigh Custom Homes and they never disappoint!
