For months now I’ve been wanting to find time to share more Parade of Homes posts. Believe it or not, the 2022 Parade of Homes Tour is next month and I really want to share more of the homes I toured last year…and the years before. If you love to tour houses as much as I do you are in luck because today I’m sharing the Blanton’s Creek Parade of Homes Tour!
Located in Blanton’s Creek, a new neighborhood in Wake Forest, North Carolina, this home features four bedrooms, four bathrooms and is 3,758 square feet. The neighborhood is built by Homes by Dickerson, who I’ve featured here on the blog before.

The houses in this community start around $1 million and this was listed at $1,072,000 at the time of viewing.
I really love the exterior of this home. It really makes a statement as you come up the long driveway. The combination of the board and batten, white bricks and wood accents come together nicely. And a light blue accent color for the shutters and garage doors give a light and airy feel to this stately home that you’ll see inside as well.
As you can see there is a three car garage.
As we enter the Blanton’s Creek house the foyer is bright and inviting with an accent wall.
To the left of the foyer is the formal dining room that features a coffered wood planked ceiling. I love the ceiling detail.
There’s a small butler’s pantry off of the dining room.
I didn’t get a shot of the pantry but you can see a glimpse of it here. There were two realtors and one of them was nice enough to move out of the way as I shared with him that I have a blog and take pictures to share. The other one as you see…did not care.
From what I can see I do like the kitchen. It’s kind of tucked into the corner and what it lacks in space it makes up for in storage.
You’ll see a few times, the X trim detail from the foyer continues throughout the home. Including the vent hood in the kitchen.
The breakfast nook features floating shelves and access to the screened porch. I love how the countertops and cabinetry extends into the breakfast area for added storage.
This space is large enough to accommodate a larger table for larger families or entertaining.
Overall I like the living room but I don’t like when there’s no symmetry around a fireplace. I understand why there’s not a second set of built in shelves but I don’t find it to be aesthetically pleasing.
In my opinion, it would work better to have skinnier bookshelves that can flank the fireplace.
Take note of the X trimwork on the bottom cabinets.
I love the mix of the materials with the marble tile surround and the marble subway tile for the hearth. They look beautiful against the herringbone brick firebox.
Off of the living room is the mudroom rear entry area. One thing I like is that this area can be closed off with the French doors.
What do you think of this trend? I’ve seen this in a few houses on Pinterest and Instagram where the tile spills into another room. I’m not a fan. Personally I think it’s too trendy and in a couple of years you’d spend a lot of money to replace it.
The tiled area is a shower making this a full bathroom. But I like that it’s kind of separated if you’re primarily going to use it as a powder room.
This is a guest bedroom that is staged as a study. If you are going to use it as a home office it could be beneficial to have it on the back of the house.
Upstairs at the top of the stairs is this lighted bookcase wall. I love this feature as it leads into the owner’s suite. The owner’s suite is on its own side of the house that is a feature I can definitely appreciate.
The same accent wall from the foyer downstairs is seen here again in the foyer of the primary bedroom.
Over the bathtub there’s a wood planked barrel ceiling. The vertical subway tile makes the space feel even larger.
Look at all of this storage! I love how this vanity is laid out.
The owner’s closet is huge! And full of storage. And fun fact: this is one of two closets! There’s two walk in closets, of course the other one is smaller but it’s still a ton of space.
There are two very spacious bedrooms with two additional bathrooms on this level. In addition to the bedrooms there’s also a very large bonus room.
The laundry room is also located on the second floor.
Overall what makes the Blanton’s Creek Parade of Homes house stand out to me is the owner’s suite. That entire space from the bookcase wall to the foyer and everything else is simply perfection.
What area of the house is your favorite? I was able to get a few videos to capture this beautiful Blanton’s Creek home. They’re on my Tik Tok.
