More often than not I like to start my decorating with my entryway. This year that wasn’t the case. Because my entryway is open to my family room, I wanted to keep it neutral and simple. Here’s how I decorated my neutral Christmas entryway this year.

Just like my Christmas family room, I wanted to focus on green and gold.
If I had more cypress stems, like I used in my family room, I would have used them in this vase. These pine stems I have from Michael’s fit the bill. Although they’re too shimmery.

This year I’ve fallen in love with using real tapered candles. Specifically ones that are color coordinated with my decor. I got these green taper candles from World Market.
I’ve found that I like the look of them even more after they’ve burned for a little while.
As much as my focus was on incorporating more green this year, I can’t resist a pop of red. I added my red berry trees to the base of my entryway table.
Speaking of entryway table, I’ve had this small space console table for a little over a year now. Earlier this year I shared a review of the Pottery Barn Mateo Console Table.
My woven basket is a staple on my entryway table. You can see that it’s usually topped off with a throw blanket. But that’s just so that it can hide all of the cords inside. Gotta love decor that does double duty!
I hope that you’ve found some good neutral Christmas entryway decorating ideas. No one could ever call me a minimalist. But this year I think I am. It’s Christmas Eve by the time I’m finally finishing up this post. There’s just been so much going on that my holiday decor took a back seat.
It’s my favorite time of the year, so better late than never. You can use this as inspiration for years to come. Make sure to pin this post to refer to later!
