A friend of mine posted on her bbm status that she was feeling kinda low and sad about life. She was writing in her journal about the year and where she’s come. I definitely understand how that can make you become a tad depressed, or in my life, a lot more than a tad! I was just thinking, because I’m in the process of making out my Vision List for 2011, I decided at the same time, I should make a Gratitude List. I highly recommend you do the same. Without a spirit of gratitude how can you expect to get more if you’re not grateful for what you have? You can make your list to fit you and your needs, but I think I’m going to sit down and focus on 2010 and write what I’m grateful for, all the good and the bad. I know that I in the last few days I have had a feeling/spirit of …trying to place the word…let’s say vision for lack of a vocabulary right now! lol But I have been really thinking about it, like I have over the past week or so really been putting a lot into revamping my blog and my facebook page to market Beachbody. I know that I am going to be very successful with my business…I literally already SEE it.
Back to the point…I encourage you to write out a gratitude list. Be grateful for what you have, for what you have gone thru, because everything that we go thru, good or bad, is meant to cause us to grow. Isn’t our purpose to be here to grow into our purpose and destiny? This may go a little left, but stick with me…so let’s say you lost your job, you lost your home, you lost it all, but you pressed forward, you kept your head held up, you remained thankful and grateful for your life and what you have…now look at…Tyler Perry, look at Judge Mathis, look at so many millions of people who had very hard times in their lives but they didn’t give up, they didn’t throw in the towel and just accept it, no they picked up life by the boot straps, stayed grateful and focused on where they were going…idk how that worked out as my analogy! LOL But hopefully you get where I’mcoming from. So think about your current reality as just that…it’s only where you are now…it’s not where you’ve been or where you’re going. You have the power to change where you’re going so that your reality will change. Write out your vision, be clear and concise, demand what you want from life. Write out your gratitude list…truly FEEL the feelings of gratitude and you will see a change.
A very simple and easy way to get started is to start a sentence with…I am so happy and grateful now that…write your vision in the present tense. Don’t say I’m going to be, I hope to be, say I have now, I am now, etc. I was reading a fellow Coach’s blog…Mindy Winder…and I found it very powerful, motivating and encouraging…(this wasn’t supposed to be in this blog, but hey i’m just letting my fingers do the typing). It really spoke to me because I’ve followed her on twitter for maybe a year now, and I’ve seen her grow as a coach. I’ve started watching some of her youtube vids too…but she posted a blog post last week that really got me inspired. I thought of posting a link on fb or something, but decided I would wait until I can do the same for my own personal experience! The blog post was about gratitude and how she started as a Coach not knowing if it would be worth it and how after changing her thinking and basically tuning in to her spirit allowed her to give it her all and now she is definitely reaping the rewards from it! On her blog she put a screenshot of the income she was bringing in at the beginning and then later on and now, and let me tell you…it was mind blowing! I can’t wait to post my own success story next year! It’s as if we’re in the same boat…she was working and her and her family were strugglig just to make ends meet. She saw Jenelle Summers who is on a lot of Turbo Jam videos (she’s Chalene Johnson’s sister and one of my favorites) on twitter and she tweeted about coaching and Mindy asked her about it. Now here’s the part that got me…she was saying how she didn’t know how it would work but that it sounded like a great opportunity. So she listened to a Coaching webinar, signed up, paid the $39.95 start up fee and hasn’t looked back since! But what really got me was that she feels like she’s not a seller, she’s pretty shy, but she just knows that she loved Turbo Jam. Sounds a lot like me. I’m not a seller, I’m not very sociable and outgoing…you’re not gonna see me in a group of people going around shaking everybody’s hands!; and I know that I loved Turbo Jam. I loved Turbo Jam so much that I shared it with all of my friends and co-workers at my previous job and got everybody hooked on it. That’s what really speaks to me. I’m not here to try to sell to people. But as any of my readers know, if I like something I wanna share it with everybody. I’ve always been that way. It’s the same way for bad things too, but I really love sharing good things that can help people, so for me being a Beachbody Coach is right for me. I am definitely feeling very inspired right about now.
SN: I started this blog at 8am this morning because I just KNEW that work would be slow…needless to say, slow it was not!…so I do apologize if the blog wasn’t as cohesive as I would like. But quite frankly, I feel that even if it doesn’t make complete and total sense…you get the point and hopefully take away a little from this blog as well! lol Happy reading!
