Thanks to a great tip from my friend I stopped by Old Navy today for their 75% off summer clearance. It wasn’t my intention to go shopping for clothes today, but I knew I could swing it and if it’s on sale and a good deal then I’m down. I didn’t really get much that was on the clearance because there wasn’t much left in my daughter’s size. For myself I got a pair of capris for $7.48 marked down from $29.94 and a much needed pair of flip flops for $6. I got a pair of jelly sandals that Brianna has been asking for since the last time we were at Old Navy {approx 6 weeks ago and I was gonna do a blog post and never got around to it bc I got some good deals} for only $1.98!! Down from $7.94. That made her day! Mommy is always telling her “not if it’s not on sale” so she’s very happy about them. I also got some carpenter shorts for my baby nephew for $2.52 down from $10.50. They didn’t have them in Jordan’s size, so I decided I would get them for my nephew. That price is too good to pass up! I’ve always been a big fan of Old Navy’s jeans for the kids.
Now on to the real purpose of the post…what’s in the bag? This mystery bag. It’s called the Mega Deal Bag and basically it’s a mystery bag filled with clothes. It’s $20 and you can’t open the bag before you buy it and you can’t return anything once you’ve bought it. It says that’s it’s original value is $100 – $125. Well I was very skeptical. They didn’t have Brianna’s size bag. They had bags for each sex and size but everything I think was shirts. They had my size but I wasn’t willing to take the chance on clothes for me. For the adults you got 5 tops and children got 8 tops. So to me it was worth the gamble to try it out for Jordan. They had one bag for boys size 3T. And I was in the store pretty early, it was before 11:30 I think. So I picked up the bag and decided to see if I found other deals and then I would decide if I would get it. Well turns out, there was nothing, and I do mean nothing in boys size 3T in the regular clearance racks. So I figured at the equivalent of getting 8 shirts for $2.50 each that it was a great deal and worth the shot. If there were a couple of shirts I didn’t like, it would still be a great deal. So here’s what was in the bag:
I’m overall satisfied with what I got. I mean, he’s a boy so there’s not too much you can go wrong with. I liked that there was one long sleeve shirt in the mix. The only shirts I’m not too big a fan on are the purple argyle shirt and the richie rich shirt. Idk the purple looks feminine to me and I just don’t like the richie rich shirt. But aside from that, I feel like I scored a deal. I also got a scratch off card, but didn’t win. Wouldn’t it have been something if I had won the $1000 or the $50 shopping spree?? My total came to $43.28 and my receipt said I saved $47.51!!! #Winning! lol
Here’s a couple of shirts for Brianna and the shorts for my nephew Jeremiah:
