I’ve decided that I wanted to compile a list of a few beauty sites that I have found in the past few months. Part of my “Make Me Better” plan is to invest more time into the way I look. And I’ve definitely been doing that. So I just wanted to put it together in one place, a few sites that I’ve come to love over the past few months.
Sephora is a wonderful place to find just about anything you can think of from your favorite beauty brand. They have some kits/compilations that are exclusive to them. The have stores in larger cities. I would probably have a small panic attack if I was in a Sephora store!
Ulta is very similar to Sephora. If you see something you like at Sephora but want to see if you can find a better deal, then Ulta is a great site. It too has some kits/compilations that are exlusive to them. And they also have stores in larger cities as well. It for me is a recent discovery and I look forward to doing a lot of shopping there.
One of the things I’ve learned from the ladies I follow on Youtube is that makeup brushes are just like undergarments. You can have really great quality makeup but if you don’t have good brushes, then you’re not getting the most out of your products. Same as the right fitting bra and avoiding the dreaded vpl {visible panty line} they can definitely break your outfit if you’re not wearing the right underpinnings. So this brings me to Sigma Makeup brushes. They are comparable to MAC brushes but without the extreme MAC price. I’m definitely copping me a set soon!
Anybody that knows me, knows I’m a huge fan of QVC. Not only can you buy makeup from your favorite brands but you also learn how to get the looks you’re going after. QVC usually has can’t beat prices and a 30 day money-back gurantee. And for me personally, bc I don’t live too far from the nearest QVC processing center, I always get my orders in about 2 days. And the same as I’ve mentioned before, QVC gets special kits that are only available at QVC. The best thing is when it’s that brand/designer’s anniversary, that’s when you get really awesome deals.
One site I’ve definitely been sleepin on is Ebay. I have just gotten back into ebay and I definitely have to pace myself with it bc next thing you know you’ve spent way too much money!! So far I’ve gotten spanx from ebay but that’s only the beginning. I will be ordering a few items from Smashbox, Philosophy, MAC, Bare Minerals, Nars, Ojon…so many things that I’ve got my eye on!
And I’ve stated in one of my most recent Wiggalicious blogs, I definitely love the following sites for hair/wigs/ponytails/products: Clair Hair , Hairsisters, and BlackHairspray. For the most part, they all carry the same brands. Sometimes one site will have an item on sale or might have more color choices available…so when I’m shopping for a wig I will check all three sites to come out with the best deal.
So there you have it, those are some of the sites I’ve gotten hooked on in 2009. I hope the site list doesn’t grown in 2010!! lol only bc that’s more money I’ll be spending! For the most part though, ebay is my new fave bc I get a rush from getting something that I want for the lowest price. I definitely look forward to growing my beauty collection and eventually doing blogs on them and video reviews on youtube. So definitely stay tuned!!!
