I’m neither a morning person nor a night owl…I just like sleep. Sleep is the thing I can never get enough of…me being the mommy, I don’t get to sleep in, like ever! Especially with two kids, with just the one, yeah there was the rare chance of sleeping in, especially if my mom had my daughter…but I’m never child-free so I don’t sleep in. Naps? What’s that? I haven’t had a nap in forever. So my week tends to go like this…set my alarm to workout in the morning, and then when it wakes me up, I go back to sleep for all of like 45 minutes…and not a sound sleep, bc my hubby is getting ready for work while I’m trying to catch a few more zzz’s…then it’s get up go to work, be tired all day, come home exhausted and drained from talking to over 100 customers each day…go to bed, maybe hopefully before 11pm and the cycle starts all over again. Well I’m tired of that. Even though I’m not a morning person, I can make myself get up and workout. At least, I used to could…lately I haven’t been able to motivate myself to do anything…but that’s all about to change…
As a teenager, I was the one who woke up definitely after 10 am on Saturdays…hell, sometimes more like 1 or 2 pm! I would always say to myself, when I’m a mom, I won’t be able to sleep in so I’m gonna soak it up while I can. Well, now even more do I know that to be true. Soon my daughter will be in kindergarten, and we all know that school starts like super early in the morning. Which means, parents have to be up even earlier. Well this school thing starts next month…just enough time for me to make this a habit. So I will be back to my morning workouts, not just for my body, but for my mind, because everything just goes smoother when my body is running like a well-oiled machine. One of the biggest factors in that…sleep. When you get enough sleep your body rewards you. I work in a job where I definitely need to be rewarded for my sleep! I will be taking a few extra steps at night to ensure that I’m up and at `em in the morning to start my day. This is my life and it’s too short to not live it in the way that I want to that comes out best for me 🙂

i know. it seems like i never get enough sleep. i love those days when i can just wake up by myself and not by an alarm clock or a screaming sibling. 🙂
