I’ve never been a fan of wearing shorts. Not since like middle school. That was when I was still a scrawny kid, like my daughter is now. Back when I was a size small and I didn’t buy my own clothes. But in highschool things changed, and I may have worn shorts here and there, but they weren’t my preference. Now, however, I really want to wear shorts.
A few weeks back I was given a bag of clothes mostly in my size range. Many new with tags and others were probably worn less than a handful of times. In this lot of clothes I got maybe 6 or 7 pairs of shorts of various styles and lengths.
It’s past time for me to get my legs ready for shorts season.
I knew that my body would go haywire after I lost so much weight from my tooth pain and extractions. Haywire is an understatement. But it seems as if I’m getting back to my regular eating habits which is a good thing. I had started getting back to my workouts but got hit with a allergy/sinus/chest cold that I’m getting over now.
So when I need to step up to the plate it helps if I put in an accountability factor. It doesn’t always work but I’m pretty fed up with not being in tip top shape. Not saying I gotta be all cut or anything, but that I’ve softened up and I’m not a fan. It’s time to be about that #fitlife.
I will take a couple of before and after pics and will post them back up here in about a month. I’m about to go hard because I’ve come entirely way too far to allow a few setbacks truly set me back. A lot of things are about to change and shift in my life, this is one of them. I really need to be in shape and in good health prior to these changes that will inevitably cause some stress in my life. So it’s back to a full workout schedule of strength and cardio training and clean eating. Strict discipline will payoff with great rewards.
It’s Memorial Day… the unofficial start of Summer and Shorts Season. Let’s do this.
