Make it happen Captain! lol
That’s exactly what I’m doing! Well, that’s the focus. I’m actually about to workout, and wanted to start this post while I have access to my pc. Those kids of mine are growing up and the weekends quickly become their computer time. {Time for a laptop} As of late, I’ve been making it happen!
A bit of background: I had surgery literally a year ago 6/10/11 and it’s been hard trying to get back to a real workout regime. Lately I’ve been having panic attacks and have starting focusing on my workouts as a source of stress relief more than weight loss. And if you recall in a recent post, I got Zaggora Hot Pants.
Okay, I’m happy to say I’ve been doing the damn thing! I’ve been making it happen! So I posted on Instagram {@aria82} my weekly workout schedule and it’s tough but I posted it because I wasn’t going to back down. Our beach vacay is slightly over 30 days away and I’m on a mission to get things a little tighter. The plan was to just go for it full throttle, but in reality, I have to take a little bit of modifications.
So this was my first week of getting back to my early morning workouts. This is the week of transitioning. So next week I’ll be getting up even earlier, this week I averaged 5:40ish. The only morning I didn’t workout was Thursday morning, and I did cardio when I got home from work. By Thursday it had all caught up to me, and I was just beyond spent. I had nothing to give, felt like my body had no food to produce energy from…I was just not able to do it. But I’m proud of myself, because I’ve done my whole week of strength training and cardio. This has been a busy week, so the only extra workout was my Turbo Class on Wednesday after work.
I’ve had to force myself to eat. So I’m sure my appetite will get itself together soon. The more muscle I’m building the more my body is gonna want to be fed.
With this weekend and going into the next week, I’m definitely not going to skimp out on the Pilates. So that is my focus for this upcoming week. I love what Pilates does for my body, and it’s just about getting it done. It’s 20 minutes that feels like 5 minutes, but my body has to work!
But here’s the great news: I’m seeing results!!! Idk if I mentioned this before, but I’m not stepping on the scale until July 1st. I decided in the last week of May that I was gonna stick to it. The reason why is because I step on the scale daily, several times a day and it’s just a bit much. And knowing that I was getting back into my strength training, it just doesn’t make sense to step on the scale. Muscle weighs more than fat. So I said I would only judge my weightloss by the way my clothes fit and how I look in the mirror. Not even gonna measure at all. Well if I do say so myself…I’m looking pretty good!!! lol Don’t take my word for it, ask my hubby who, on his own, said to me the other day, he can tell I’m losing weight!!! That means it’s true! lol Also, my pants I wore Thursday to work are beyond loose, they could barely stay up! My friends and co-workers are telling me my face is slimming and I’m looking like I lost 10lbs. Now I know not that much, but it sure makes me feel good! And gives me the mojo to keep at it!!
The other night I decided to try on some clothes…and I’m happy to report that my size 10 NY&Co pants that I bought and have tags on them from a long time ago…those bad boys fit me! Woop! Woop!! Now to my next workout!!!
