Ugh so I feel like such a loser. And not in a โbiggest loserโ kind of way. Here it is an extra week of the first round of 30 Day Shred. And Iโm gonna keep it realโIโm not a happy camper. Iโve realized what my issue is: itโs not fun!! What attracted me to the 30 Day Shred was the efficiency of the workoutโI mean who can beat stregth, cardio and abs in 20 minutes??? And itโs not a rinky dink workout eitherโmy hair is drenched w sweat when Iโm finished (thank goodness for wigs right?) But I donโt look forward to it. I donโt enjoy it. And honestly, Iโve quit several times on the workout. Thatโs something I wouldnโt do with Turbo Jam. Turbo Jam is fun for me and thatโs what kept me doing it versus everything else. I like The Firm and the results i get, but I donโt enjoy doing it. And when it comes down to it, thatโs what matters for me. So itโs time to re-evaluate the situation.
Hereโs what my plan isโฆok so Iโm going to do my official end of phase 1 weigh in/measure/update this weekend. The good news is that I have seen results but not enoughโand thatโs mostly my fault for not sticking to my plan 100%. So weโre supposed to get our tax refund tomorrow (fingers crossed) and among the other things that Iโll be purchasing with my portion of the money will be some Turbo Kick Fan dvds. If you donโt knowโฆthose are the ones that come out every so often from Chalene Johnson. Turbo Kick is the original and then they came out with the infomercial for Turbo Jam. Turbo Kick workouts are about an hour long and you get 2 workouts per dvd. And theyโre like $40 each. And I will still do 30 Day Shred but will add it as more as a compliment to my cardio vs being my primary workout. Because for me, it has to be fun, I have to look forward to doing it and I have to enjoy doing itโฆnot just enjoy that itโs over! So thatโs the plan. Iโm making out my workout schedule now. And Iโm sure Iโll be seeing some great results because Iโll actually be doing it!!! Ha!
Honestly, right now I know that cardio is what I need more of. I am really wanting more clothes and the prospect of Spring being right around the corner is pushing me to get back on top of my game! (yeah itโs shallow things that motivate me the most sometimes!) Ross is having their dress week or dress days event, whatever itโs called, Iโm gonna be copping a few spring dresses in probably a size 10 or 12. Or bothโฆweโll see. So letโs do the damn thing!!! Maybe I need to remind myself of my motto aka BeachBodyโs motto: DECIDE.COMMIT.SUCCEED. damn straight!
