I hope everyone has had a great week. I’m back today sharing some more homes from the Parade of Homes this year. I love sharing these homes with you all. I hope you enjoy them as well.
Today I am sharing what I am calling the Coppertone house. This was the first house we saw during the Parade of Homes tours. This is located in the same neighborhood as the Vassar house and the Elks house. Every so often I would drive through the neighborhood and when I saw this home completed a few months ago I had a feeling it would be featured in this year’s Parade of Homes. I was right 🙂
This home is 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. It is 3300 square feet.
And it’s white. Blinding white. With a copper accent over the front door. Hence my name for it.
That copper will turn dark and appear black with time from being in the sun. It will be a nice pop for sure.
I didn’t get as many pictures from this house as I would have liked.
As with many homes in this neighborhood it has my coveted dual living spaces.
I love the built-ins in this living room. You can see from this view the doorway that leads to the master bedroom. Where the light is located is a little alcove and you turn to the left and there’s the master bedroom. I have only one word for it. Small. Like you can’t have a king size bed and furniture small.

In this picture I am standing really close to the doorway. See what I mean by small?
The master bathroom was nice. I am disappointed there’s no bathtub in here. I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but at this price point and in this neighborhood it’s expected.
One thing I liked about this home was the light fixtures.
The dining room is right off the main entry way. Love the molding and trim work.
Glam Kitchen

The showstopper of this home is by far this kitchen. It’s flashy.
It’s not huge but it’s open to the kitchen nook and the morning room. I am not in love with the vent hood but I do love that it’s actual stove and oven unit.

It gives you all of the things you need. But there is not a separate pantry. So what you see is what you get. And at the time there wasn’t any hardware on the cabinets. I assume they’ll add them or let the buyer choose.
I love this morning room. The wood beams give the room great character and I really like that.
This is one of the guest bathrooms.
And these are guest bedroom windows. The windows in this home are great. The main downside is the size of the bedrooms.
This is the mudroom area. It’s on the way to the laundry room. Of all the houses I’ve seen this year it’s the most substantial.
Last piece of this house to share is the laundry room hardware. I didn’t get a picture of the laundry room really but I snapped this really quickly because I thought these were beautiful. What do you think?
My Final Thoughts
So overall…this house has some pros and cons. We saw this house first and from each consecutive house we saw in this neighborhood, like the Vassar, the Elks house and soon to come the Nottingham house. And me and the kids agree, this was the one we wanted the least. Here’s why:
- The bedrooms are small (honestly that’s the primary reason)
- There was no dedicated pantry
- The bedrooms didn’t have really large closets (except for the master)
- No bathtub in the master bathroom
Here’s my list of pros, because aside from the size, there were a few:
- The attention to detail with the lighting fixtures
- The hardwood floors are really nice
- The kitchen is so sparkly it truly is a glam kitchen
- The house has great flow and that’s what I love the most about it
From seeing the house do you like it? This house was built from a different builder I’m not used to seeing in this area. They are also building another home in this neighborhood and I’m interested to see inside. I can’t yet tell if it’s just a new build to be sold or if it’s being built for someone. Guess we shall see.
Thanks for joining me today for this house tour. I’m working on at least getting all of these posts typed up so that I don’t forget all of the details for each home. I’d love to know which of the houses you’ve liked the most so far…share in the comments 🙂
