Happy New Year friends! I hope everyone enjoyed the holidays and ringing in 2019! I took a brief hiatus from the blog and have been focusing on the goals I want to achieve in all areas of my life this year. I believe this year is going to prove to be an amazing year for us! Today I’m sharing my daughter’s tween girl bedroom. I started this post many months ago and never got around to posting it. (one of my goals is to be a more consistent blogger) I’ve been on a mission to get the kids rooms organized and decorated so I can move on to other areas of the home. Here’s how I’ve decorated my tween girl’s bedroom and hopefully you’ll find some things you like.

My daughter loves to read and this bookcase headboard works well for storing her books and as you can see…all of these stuffed animals. We got the bedding a year or so ago, I don’t recall where, but I feel like it was at Ross or something like that. The chair pillow works well because she can prop up against the bookcase and read. We got it at Target.
As I mentioned in my boys bedroom post for my son’s room, we got their beds from Ashley Furniture. Her bed is a little different, it’s the Cottage Retreat Twin Bookcase bed. I like the decor inspiration here with picture frames and decorative signs. I want to incorporate something like that. Now that I think of it, I should tuck in the bedding. #doh
On the top of the headboard are her trophies from when she was in competitive cheer, a few figurines and her initial painting she made.
On the other side are her Mickey and Minnie along with more stuffed animals. We really need to get a handle on them.
I got the nailpolish wall decor from TJ Maxx shortly after moving in. I saw it before we moved and then couldn’t remember where. I searched everywhere and when I looked in TJ Maxx it was the only one left waiting for me! I love that because from the moment I saw it, I new it would be perfect for her room. She loves nail polish so that was a definite #momwin.
My daughter painted this on a trip with her girls group last year. I really like how it turned out and is an easy way to add decor to her room. What’s better than art you create!
My tween girl has a large amount of jeans. We keep them all stored here neatly folded and organized by style. Lighter denim to darker to colored denim. It’s working well for us. The other drawer is currently holding extra sheets.
We also got the matching dresser. She keeps her earrings, cheer bow and nail polish items. I ended up just ordering this nail polish holder after I was reminded of how ugly this container is that she’s currently using. In a couple of days this will look much nicer.
And in full disclosure…here’s even. more. stuffed. animals. Ugh. The Tigger is technically mine on loan. I am a Tigger fan in case you didn’t know 😉
I do want to find something to go on this wall. I just haven’t found that special something. I’d also like to get her a new bedding set. And probably some curtains. These are all on the list.
When it comes to bedding, I really like something like this Emily & Meritt Bed of Roses bedding set.
She likes more of the puckered or pick-up style. We’ll see what we end up with when the time comes. Like I said, it’s on the list. On the very long list to making this house a home. Until next time friends…I guess I’ll get back to that list 🙂
